Humphrey Themen, alias THEprinceOFfbeatz, is producer, soundengineer en DJ. Hij geeft in Club JACO o.a. de workshops Beat & Producers Club en Demo Engineering. Tevens is hij verbonden als producer en soundengineer aan de Not For Profit studio in Club JACO.

THEprinceOFbeatz or Humphrey Themen is a refined producer and audio engineer born and raised in Amsterdam, The Netherlands. His heritage derives from the South American country of Suriname, which borders Brazil and Guyana. He was initially introduced to beat making by his older brother, Emil (pronounced Eh-meel), also known as Sir Mykus! Emil used to store tons of his equipment in the room next door to Themen. This sparked a particular interest and curiosity within him and shortly thereafter, he found himself sitting at an AKAI MPC 60 with his brother. It began as a form of leisure and after a few years he found his own manner in which to master the devices that would come into his grasp. It was only a matter of time before he initiated collaborations with local artist in Amsterdam.

Themen was bestowed with the admirable title “THEprinceOFbeatz” via mobile text message by his best friend one birthday afternoon. Blind to his skill and talent at the time, he modestly replied “Hey, that's a dope name!” and so it remained. In present day, THEprince devises music of all sorts and genres. This includes but is not limited to: Hip-hop RnB, dancehall, reggae, dance and more. Nowadays, he finds himself embarking on an exciting and stimulating journey of Urban Electronica. He intricately tailors each musical work to the artist he is in collaboration with. This creates a very efficient and high quality work dynamic. The results are simply royal, immaculate and fit for a dominion of ears in need of high-end musical content! The Prince is also experienced in lyrical development, arrangement and always supplies ideas and points of improvement in order to enhance the quality of a composition.
